With a background in Sculpture, I have always had a deep fascination with texture and its ability to communicate emotion. In Iceland, my practice has increasingly turned towards raw and locally found materials. During hikes, I began noticing the abundance of materials around me—silica, river clay, crystals, driftwood, herbs, rocks and ash—and became curious about how they could become part of my ceramic practice.

I weave these materials with poetic storytelling through text and illustration.
